Participating in Engineers Week

Last Tuesday, Chris Gray, PE participated in Engineer’s Week by attending ASCE’s Younger Member Forum at Spring Ford Senior High School. Chris introduced the subject of civil engineering to 9th grade students. Engineer’s Week is a national learning experience where we celebrate engineers who make a difference in our world, increase public dialogue about the need for engineers, and bring engineering to life for kids, educators, and parents.  The mission of the week is to provide a fun and exciting educational experience for students who may be interested in pursuing a career in engineering. Chris remarked “The students were very interested in the discussion about engineering, specifically civil engineering as a potential career path.  The students asked some great questions at the end of each class.  I was glad to participate as an instructor and share my experiences as an engineer.”
