Sustainable design offers an opportunity to create environmentally sound and resource-efficient buildings. Our sustainability practice focuses on integrating sustainable planning, design, and construction elements into our designs. We apply rating systems as appropriate, and provide recommendations on systems and strategies for new design, renovation, and operations as well as surface parking. We provide leadership and team management for LEED and Green Globes certification, as well as the implementation of the Green Parking Council’s BETA Certified Green Garage program. We believe that sustainability can and should be “built in” to our projects from planning, through construction, and into operations. Although not often considered sustainable, parking structures can and do implement strategies and technologies that positively impact the triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit
