Leadership Miami Helps Amigos for Kids Program in Miami

Our staff recently collaborated with the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s program Leadership Miami on a community service project for the child abuse prevention organization Amigos for Kids.

Amigos for Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse through a variety of programs, workshops, and fundraisers aimed at empowering children and adults alike. The program teams with public and private sponsors to run an after-school program in the East Little Havana neighborhood of Miami. The program provides over 100 inner-city youth with teachers and counselors to help with homework, build math and reading skills, and participate in art and cultural activities.

The Leadership Miami group worked with Amigos for Kids to renovate program rooms their after school program center. We provided renovation renderings to create a Literacy Enrichment Center, featuring a new multimedia lounge with enhanced technology devices. The project also included the addition of inspirational murals on the walls, and the addition of furniture to enhance the space. These enhancements helped to create a more vibrant and welcoming environment for the children.
